1. Who We Are

GR Technology Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the RTO Master India platform accessible at rtomaster.in and rtoexamfree.in.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name, email address, and password when you register
• Mobile number (optional, for WhatsApp notifications)
• State/region preference for customised question sets
• Payment-related information (UTR / transaction reference) for service orders — we do not store card numbers or bank details
• Service order details (DL number, vehicle registration) submitted for RTO document assistance

Information collected automatically:

• Quiz performance data (test scores, correct/wrong answers, time taken)
• Device type, browser, operating system (via server logs)
• IP address and approximate geolocation (city level)
• Pages visited and features used (analytics)
• Referral codes used at registration

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account and deliver the quiz/exam preparation service
• To process RTO document service orders and communicate updates via WhatsApp/email
• To calculate leaderboard rankings, streaks, and points
• To send service-related notifications (not marketing spam)
• To improve our question bank, UI, and features based on aggregate usage data
• To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser cookies and localStorage for:

• Maintaining your login session securely (PHP session cookie)
• Remembering your quiz preferences (state, difficulty, timer settings)
• Storing bookmarked questions locally on your device
• Dark mode preference

We do not use third-party tracking cookies beyond Google AdSense (see Section 6). You can clear cookies/localStorage at any time via your browser settings.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service fulfilment: Your order details (name, mobile, DL/RC number) are accessible to our team to process RTO document orders
• Payment processors: UPI payments are processed through the UPI ecosystem (NPCI). We receive only a transaction reference (UTR) — no card or bank data
• Razorpay: For PRO subscription payments, Razorpay processes card/UPI data under their own privacy policy
• Legal requirement: We may disclose data if required by Indian law, court order, or government authority

6. Google AdSense & Advertising

Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across the web.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it to serve relevant ads
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads
• PRO subscribers do not see any advertisements

We also display Amazon affiliate product links. Clicking these links may set Amazon cookies on your device. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

7. Data Security

• Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt/password_hash)
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Database access is restricted to authorised personnel only
• We conduct regular security reviews of our platform

No internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong unique password for your account.

8. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
• Quiz/test history: Retained to provide performance analytics. Deleted with account
• Service order records: Retained for 3 years for legal and accounting compliance
• Payment references (UTR): Retained for 5 years per Indian financial regulations
• Server logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted

9. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian law (IT Act 2000 and PDPB principles) and best practices, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data (name, email, state)
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Portability: Receive your quiz history and performance data in a readable format
• Opt-out: Opt out of leaderboard visibility or non-essential communications

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@rtomaster.in with subject "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Our platform is intended for users aged 16 and above (minimum DL eligibility age in India). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at support@rtomaster.in and we will delete the account.

11. Third-Party Links

Our app contains links to third-party websites including government portals (parivahan.gov.in, echallan.parivahan.gov.in), insurance providers, Amazon India, and WhatsApp. These sites have their own privacy policies — we are not responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notification or email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
